This complete electric fence kit provides everything you need to set up a safe, secure, and highly effective poultry enclosure, designed just as much to keep predators such as foxes out as it is to keep your chickens safely contained. Ideal for small domestic flocks, this 25m poultry netting kit is easy to install, simple to relocate, and has a low visual impact, making it perfect for gardens, smallholdings, and flexible pen layouts.

The kit includes a 25m electrified poultry net with 15 integral posts, designed to stand securely and maintain excellent conductivity thanks to over 275 metres of conductive polywire woven throughout the horizontal strands. This “Deluxe” version features Hotline’s innovative Hot Gate access system, allowing you to enter and exit the enclosure without switching off the energiser, and without risking accidental shocks.

Electric poultry netting is widely recognised as one of the most reliable deterrents against foxes. Foxes typically stalk a fence, testing for weaknesses, climbing or attempting to reach the top, behaviours perfectly countered by a correctly powered electric net. When properly maintained and kept clear of heavy vegetation, this 25m system provides a strong, humane, and dependable barrier.

Power is supplied by the included Gemini energiser, which can run on either 240V mains or a 12V deep-cycle leisure battery. (Standard car batteries are not suitable due to continuous charging and discharging.) When using mains power, simply add a suitable length of HT lead-out cable to carry the power from your indoor supply to the fence. If using a 12V battery, a 75Ah deep-cycle battery will typically provide around one month of operation, with larger capacities also available for extended runtimes.

This kit contains everything required to build a fox-resistant poultry pen—except your power supply. Just add a 12V leisure battery and charger, or HT lead if connecting to mains.

Not part of the kit, but perhaps worth considering is the addition of our Electric Fence Voltage Indicator lamp, which may increase the level of deterrent against a more timid fox, but more importantly, will provide you with a visual indication that the fence is working correctly; especially useful if you can see your fence from the house.
