Electric sheep netting is the ideal solution for mobile sheep fencing. Sheep are notorious for their will to break free. To prevent sheep from escaping, a highly effective and reliable fence is required. Electrified sheep netting will be the solution in this case.
So how does electrified sheep netting help in preventing sheep from breaking out? Electric fence netting for sheep creates a clear visual barrier for sheep to see. This is the first step from preventing sheep from breaking out. Next the netting has a fine mesh which makes it impossible for sheep to go through. Combining these features with the electrical shock of an energiser make sheep netting a very effective fence. Next to this, sheep netting is easy to set up. Just lay the netting down and put the posts up. Make sure the netting is tensioned and you're done. Sheep netting is the complete solution, no need for composing your own fence. No need for buying posts, conductors and reels. Besides the above reasons, sheep owners who prefer netting as their fencing solution because of the price point. The complete solution in combination with the price level makes it the go to solution.
When buying electric fence netting for sheep there are a few aspects to keep in mind. Firstly it is important to combine your netting with the right energiser. Four factors require the energiser for extra power. Firstly, the wool of the sheep. As the wool acts as insulation between the fence and the sheep, a bigger shock is required to have an effect on the animals. Secondly a stronger energiser is required because the complete mesh needs to be powered. As every string in the mesh needs to be powered, this equates to a long total length. Thirdly, the conductivity of the netting is important. The longer the fence, the more resistance the pulse is experiencing. So make sure to select sheep netting with a low resistance when planning on a long fence. Lastly, vegetation plays a role. High vegetation touching the electrified sheep netting creates a drain. This drain could result in the pulse not being strong enough at the end of the fence.
