The Hotline Merlin Battery Electric Fence Energiser is a compact, mid-powered 12 V energiser designed for small to medium fencing needs. Lightweight and portable, it comes with a single-spike stand for easy installation in paddocks or pastures. The unit can be powered by its 6 V internal battery or an optional 12 V external battery, making it versatile for hobby farmers and smallholders.

With 0.44 J stored energy and 0.35 J output, the Merlin can effectively power up to 2.2 km of single-wire or tape fencing under ideal conditions. It includes on/off control, a low battery indicator, and a pulse indicator, ensuring reliable and monitored operation.

Animal suitability

The Hotline Merlin is ideal for small to medium livestock containment, working particularly well for horses in small paddocks or for strip grazing. It is also suitable for sheep and goats on modest runs and can handle short sections of sheep netting under good conditions. This energiser is not recommended for large livestock, poultry netting, or long fences, making it best suited for hobby farms or smallholders with simple fencing needs.
