Gallagher Geared Reel (1200m) – 3:1 Gear Ratio

The Gallagher Geared Reel makes winding and unwinding electric fence conductors quicker, easier and far less effort. Thanks to its 3:1 gear ratio, the reel winds three times faster than a standard non-geared reel, saving valuable time when setting up or taking down temporary electric fencing. It also helps keep your conductor neatly stored, dry and protected between uses, extending its lifespan.

The reel has a generous capacity and is suitable for up to 1,200m of Vidoflex polywire, 400m of cord or 400m of 12.5mm tape. The robust geared mechanism, combined with the long winding handle, provides smooth operation with less effort. An insulated, UV-resistant handle offers a comfortable grip, even during extended use.

Designed with practicality in mind, the reel features a hook that glides easily over grass without snagging, making it ideal for use in the field. An orange line guide ensures the conductor winds evenly onto the spool, reducing tangles and keeping everything neat. A secure locking mechanism with transport hook keeps the reel firmly in place during transport and storage.

For connecting power, the outside of the drum features a metal connection point where a connection set can be fitted. Alternatively, the conductor can be wrapped directly around the hook and the reel hung on the fence. Please note that this method does not allow the conductor to be tensioned.

Built to withstand demanding conditions, the fully galvanised frame, heavy-duty drum and durable construction provide excellent strength and long-lasting performance. The ergonomic winding handle with knuckle guard offers additional comfort and improved control while winding and unwinding.
