Hotline Rabbit Net (Standard 7-strand) | Electric Fencing | Electrified Netting
Hotline standard 7-strand rabbit net is 50cm high and produced with high visibility orange moulded strands. The bottom strand is always black and is not live to prevent shorting with vegetation.
This rabbit proof netting is easy to setup and provides you with a quick, easy and effective stretch of electric rabbit proof fencing; it can also be used to help guard against badgers.
When deterring rabbits the net is best erected at a 45-degree angle facing the hedgerow. Therefore the ears of the rabbit will touch the net before it can get close enough to burrow underneath. If badgers are the main target, then make the electric fence more upright.
Hotline Rabbit netting is recommended for use around farms, vegetable plots, parks, gardens, golf courses and anywhere else that rabbits are a problem.
The Hotline rabbit net is supplied with posts already attached, but in undulating ground or particularly exposed areas, it may be worth having some spare netting posts to provide additional support and help keep the net taut over the uneven/rough ground.
Rabbit netting is supplied in 50m lengths.
For your rabbit net to operate at the optimum level it is very important that you use a suitable energiser and because rabbit netting is usually set at an angle and low to the ground, it is necessary to more power than would be usual for the upright nets. Our general recommendations are as follows:
- 1-2 Nets (Up to 150m):
Battery Energiser - P450S Hobby or Mains Energiser - HLM 80
- 3-5 Nets (Up to 400m):
Battery Energiser - P500 Falcon or Mains Energiser - HLM 100
- 5 - 8 Nets:
Battery Energiser - P525 Buzzard or Mains Energiser - HLM 200
For netting systems over this length Email us here with your netting requirements. We will respond with our recommendations.
The above energisers will prove suitable for most netting applications.
