This lightweight, portable battery energiser is a popular choice for small paddocks, designed to hang easily on a fence line, post, or earth stake. It operates using two standard D-Cell batteries (included) or can be powered by an external 12V battery (not included). The Solar Shrike includes a versatile 2.5-watt solar panel, which extends battery life by powering the energiser in bright conditions.

Because of its limited power and short range, the Shrike is best suited to small paddocks or temporary fences, for example horses on short runs, small livestock areas, or garden/utility fences where only a minimal electric shock is needed to encourage animals to avoid the line. It is not suitable for sheep or poultry netting and does not have enough energy for larger or heavy‑load fences.
