Don't let your water pipes freeze!
Easy to install, thermostatic heating cable, wrapped around your water pipe and then covered with insulation will protect your water pipes from freezing in the harshest of winters. Choose your length and be protected this winter from frozen pipes. This heating cable is 10 meter.
Suitable for plastic and copper pipes this cable will prevent frozen water pipe and ensure a constant water supply.
Ideally you should choose a cable approx. twice the length of the water pipe and use cable ties or insulated tape to secure the cable to the water pipe... once you've done this, plug the cable into the mains. The water pipe heater cable will switch on when the temperature drops below 3˚C and turns off temperature rises above approx. 10˚C.
We also recommend adding a form of pipe insulation for maximum protection and this in combination with the heater cable could protect against freezing of your water pipe at temperatures as low as -40˚C.
Water pipe heaters are suitable for indoor and outdoor use and will protect your water taps and water supply pipes from freezing, but if installing your pipe heating cable within reach of any livestock, horses etc. the cable should be protected or at least obscured from the animals... i.e. no biting or chewing the heating cable please!

Appropriate frost protection can be achieved by both methods of installation, straight trace & spiral trace.
It really depends upon the diameter of pipe & the thickness of insulation being installed. The heating tape is there to replace any heat loss due to the ambient conditions.

Spiral Trace of 10w/m heating tape at a ratio of 1.3:1 is sufficient.
