What is Gallagher Equifence Wire?

Gallagher Equifence Wire is a type of fencing wire that is designed to be a permanent horse fence with excellent conductivity. There are two types of Gallagher Equifence Wire available, the Equifence Turbostar and Gallagher Equifence.

The Equifence Turbostar is designed for maximum visibility and is made of crack and UV resistant polyethylene material, backed by a 10 year warranty. It has a high conductivity and is made of steel galvanised core cable to withstand high impact. The conductor has a unique design with four conductive stripes that provide an effective shock, while a smooth polymer coating provides superior animal safety. This fencing wire is suitable for horses and has an optimised tensile strength for optimal safety.

On the other hand, Gallagher Equifence is a durable fencing wire with a plastic coating and has been specially developed for use as a secure horse fence. It offers excellent conductivity thanks to the 3 carbon fibre strips around the High Tensile wire core. It has a lifespan of up to 30 years and a product guarantee of 10 years applies. This fencing wire is also suitable for horses and has a low resistance with no risk of injury to horses.

Tips for determining the best Gallagher Equifence Wire

When choosing the best Gallagher Equifence Wire for your needs, it is important to consider factors such as visibility, conductivity, and safety for your animals. It is recommended to consult with an experienced fence builder to install the permanent cable.

How do you install Gallagher Equifence Wire?

To install Gallagher Equifence Wire, first, you need to select the appropriate wire type based on your needs. Then, you need to plan the layout of the fence and mark the position of the posts. You should then dig holes for the posts, ensuring that they are deep enough to provide stability. After this, you can begin to install the posts, ensuring that they are level and secure. Once the posts are installed, you can string the Gallagher Equifence Wire between them, tensioning the wire as you go. Finally, you can connect the wire to an energiser to provide the necessary voltage for an effective shock.
