Birth Alarm Classic: the reliable birth alarm system for horses
The classic Birth Alarm has been known for its high reliability for many years. The easy-to-install system can simply be attached to the anti-roll grith.
The owner of a pregnant mare wants to be there when the foal is born. Foals are usually born at night, but it is still difficult to predict exactly when the birth will happen. Therefore, it is important that you are warned at the right time.
When the contractions start, the mare lies flat on her side. In this position she can better absorb the contractions. After exactly 7.6 seconds in the side position, the birth alarm is triggered. It generates an alarm signal and ensures that you can be present at the birth of the foal in any case.
The Birth Alarm Classic consists of a transmitter and a fixed receiver. This fixed receiver guarantees a high level of reliability, as it means that you are not dependent on the battery level of your mobile phone. This foal birth alarm has a range of 500 m and can be extended with an analogue GSM selector if desired.
About 15 % of all pregnant mares sleep flat on their side and are therefore an exception. For these mares, the Birth Alarm Classic has a special function - sleep mode. This signals the beginning of the birth under all circumstances.
However, you can also use the Birth Alarm Classic as a warning device to protect your horse's health. For example, if your horse or pony suffers a severe colic attack and is in the critical lateral position for more than 3 seconds during this convulsion, an alarm is automatically triggered at the receiver. This will definitely alert you if your horse's health is at risk!
The advantages of the Birth Alarm Classic:
- High reliability due to fixed receiver
- Attached to the anti-roll grith
- With sleep mode
- Can be extended with a GSM dialer
- Possibility of additional transmitters (without transmitter monitoring)
- With colic alarm
