This is the 50m version of the 'Deluxe' poultry pen kit, which includes an HLC120 energiser, so the kit can be extended to up to 250m (5 x 50m nets). As well as a powerful energiser, the 50m kit includes additional corner (double spike) posts to add strength, plus the new 'Hot Gate' system, for quick and easy access without getting a shock.

One of the biggest problems with electrified netting is that they easily come into contact with vegetation, shorting the fence line and making it less effective. To overcome this, the new deluxe poultry pen kits now include larger energisers from the Gemini range, which can be used on mains 240V or a 12V battery. If used on a 12V battery, please do not use standard car batteries, as these are not designed to be constantly charged and discharged; they will die very quickly and leave your birds unprotected. You should always use a deep cycle battery, such as our 75Ah electric fence battery. The 75Ah battery will power your kit for up to one month (with the HLC40) and we also supply larger, to extend this.

Converting to solar power is very simple with this electric fence kit; fitting a 75Ah battery and a 20W solar panel is all you need to do.
