Scotty is a well made, versatile and compact solar charger that collects and stores energy from the sun for you to later use to charge mobile telephones, ipod and other portable appliances. The Scotty is ideal for all manner of travellers, whether in a car, on business, or hiking in the mountains.
When exposed to sunshine or daylight, Scotty’s latest solar panel starts charging two Ni-Cad cells instantly via patented smart charging electronics. To deliver power to an appliance, either remove Scotty’s batteries and fit them into appliance if it uses AA batteries or connect using the Scotty power cable.
If you need to charge an item in a hurry, before the panel has charged the internal batteries, then you can insert a couple of regular AA batteries and use these to charge your low-power portable devices.
Scotty is supplied with cables to charge all the leading mobile telephones and many portable electronic devices, including a USB charging cable/plug for IPODS, digital cameras and appliances with USB ports. Additional cables will soon also be available separately.
