General Information
The iSun BattPak is the perfect companion to your iSun Solar charger. BattPak is a versatile battery charger that can use solar energy, mains or DC as a power source (leads are included) to recharge anything from 2 to 10 batteries at a time. AA and AAA rechargeable batteries can now be charged whether you're at home, in your car or anywhere the sun is shining.
In addition to charging batteries, the iSun BattPak can be used as a portable power source, recharging devices such as PDAs, mobile phones, GPS equipment, flashlights etc, or to power devices such as mp3 players, Game Boys, radios etc.
With the capacity of 10 x AA batteries the maximum output voltage is around 15 volts (for lower voltage requirements you must remove batteries before connecting your equipment). For Example: An iPaq has a charging voltage of approximately 5v, so you will require 4 batteries in your BattPak (4 x 1.2v = 4.8v) when you connect the BattPak directly. Alternatively, leave your 10 batteries in the BattPak and use the 12v adapter to connect.
The BattPak is easy to use and with the addition of an iSun unit you should have most of the connectors you're likely to need. There are 2 power ports - Input and Output and 2 LEDs on the side of the BattPak – one indicating that the BattPak is receiving power (RED) and the other indicating when charging is complete (GREEN). A Pull out handle means that the BattPak is also easy to take carry.
