Grid-Tie Solar Panels (>135W)

Grid-Tie solar panels are specifically designed to be used in solar panel arrays running through a grid-tie inverter and subsequently connected to the mains electricity grid. All of the solar panels in our 'grid-tie' section are MCS approved for connection to the National Grid. If you wish to verify this, please visit www.microgenerationcertification.org

These panels typically produce higher voltages and wattages and are therefore not really suitable for off-grid (stand-alone) use. Each panel is supplied with flying MC leads, fitted with standard grid connectors.

NOTE: In the UK, whilst you may physically fit solar panels and electrical hardware to your home, it is illegal to connect any system to the mains grid unless you are an MCS certified installer. In order to qualify for the government's 'feed-in tariff', your system must be certified by an MCS installer.
