Beco Weatherproof Charge Controller

The 6 Amp Beco BR1 charge controller is fully encapsulated and designed for use out of doors.

The BR1 is one of very few Solar Shunt Regulators that is capable of being left outside and relied upon, which makes the Beco BR1 ideal for any application where providing protection from the elements would be difficult.

The BR1 has very low power consumption and features a single green, status indicating LED, which is illuminated when the battery voltage has reached the set-point and the module output is being shunted. The regulator’s PCB is encapsulated in polyurethane within a black ABS box. This assembly is fastened to a 2mm thick stainless steel heatsink measuring 64 (L) x 37 (W) that also enables the unit to be easily mounted via four 4.5mm DIA holes.
