ScareCrow is an effective, humane, easy to setup animal deterrent that keeps pests away with a harmless blast of water... The ScareCrow is a motion-activated sprinkler that automatically detects deer, badgers, heron, dogs, cats and more as they approach and then repels them with a short, startling burst of water. Setting up the ScareCrow is easy. Just connect a standard garden hose to its base, push the ScareCrow in to the ground, pot or even wall mount in the area you want to protect, and then turn on the water. As soon as you switch the ScareCrow on, it is ready to go.

How does it work?

The ScareCrow utilises a combination of sudden noise, unexpected movement and a startling blast of water to create a memorable and unpleasant experience for the bird or animal trespasser.

The animal associates this unpleasant surprise with the location and quickly learns to avoid the area rather than repeat the experience. If an animal does return, the ScareCrow will be waiting.

Typcially, a human activating a ScareCrow will run several paces to get clear... animal behaviour is quite different (plus they're not so bright) and the ScareCrow has a much greater affect, running much further and staying away longer. Animals also find the ScareCrow very difficult to anticipate as the unit only triggers when the animal moves... this makes the ScareCrow a very effective deterrent.
