Audible Gull / Marine Bird Scarer 12/240V

The marine gull scarer was designed to be an effective seagull deterrent for use on yachts and boats, giving great protection without causing excessive noise problems.

To produce the most effective deterrent, the gull scarer produces a mixture of inaudible high-frequency sound AND audible gull distress cries. High frequency noise has proven to be efficient deterrent against gulls, although they are quite tenacious birds and hence the distress cries. The cries blend in with the environment so as not to cause a nuisance effect and, together, the two noises create a very high level of protection against seagulls.

Whilst the ultrasonic sound is produced constantly to offer protection around the clock, the audible sounds are automatically stopped at dusk and restarted at dawn, however, this can be controlled manually with the On/Off/Volume switch if so required.

The device is designed with low power consumption in mind and will work for weeks on a 60 Ah battery should mains not be available. Placement with good line of sight of the problem area is essential for best results with ultrasonics.

Marine scarers are supplied with a mains psu and a battery lead if required.
