Here is a simple electric fence kit that will enable you to quickly install a 200m length of 'Top Rail' electric fencing for yourself - wherever you need it. A quick and cost effective method of protecting the expensive top rails of your paddock, or indeed any other wooden fence.
We are frequently asked about the electric fencing shown in the photograph of the grey pony in the paddock (See below).
This particular kind of electric fencing solution has proven very popular and effective with many property owners and in particular, paddock owners who wish to protect the top rail of their wooden post and rail fence from being chewed by their horses or other animals. This is a great way to make chewing, or leaning against the top rail awkward and a lot less attractive to the horse.
This fence kit has also proven effective when used in gardens to stop the pet dog jumping over the existing fence.
The fence kit is easy to install and is available either with or without a battery*... Should you wish to extend beyond 200m, this is easily done through acquisition of additional kit items as listed below and as required.
To add an additional electric fence line, for example to the middle rail, use a
Tape Clamp (Double) to connect the 2 lines together and send power
down the second electric fence line. The Hobby Energiser is suitable for a single line fence of up to a maximum 6km in length.

Please note that our optional LS70 battery
is a highly specified, sealed battery that is particulary suited for use with electric fence energisers. The LS70 battery is also safe to transport, unlike the cheaper
alternative 'wet' batteries.
Should you wish to obtain your own battery, please ensure you acquire a good quality ''Leisure''or ''Deep Cycle'' 12v Battery rated at 70amp/hr or more.
