This is a complete ready to set up and run 250m (3 lines of 250m), 3 reel electric fencing kit targeting badgers and other small to medium sized animals.

Electric fences have proven to be very effective in keeping Badgers out and if Badgers have invaded your property, be it a Playing Field, a Golf or Bowling Green, or perhaps your Garden, where they often seem to love your lawns and veggie plots as much as we do (what they really love are the earthworms and leatherjackets etc that make up much of their diet); this simple to install temporary / semi-permanent electric fencing kit, may be just what you need.

The Badger Barrier Kit includes everything you need to create an easily erected electric fence and the equipment provides you with the flexibility to make changes to the fence i.e. the line heights, route and fence length quickly and easily.

The fence can be completely relocated equally quickly and whenever the job is done, the Badgers having found alternative pastures or another route, just dismantle the fence and store it until needed again, or employ the electric fence elseware - The equipment will also lend itself to creating electric fences for other applications... Simply change the line heights using the adjustable insulators and can you have an electric fence protecting a pond or containing Pigs etc. (For Sheep, we would recommend a more powerful energiser and higher conductivity fence line such as 9 strand polywire or galvanised wire - see the Sheep Barrier Kit).

The image left is a typical example of a 3 reel fence setup to guard against Badgers.

The three reels enable fence lines to be re-tracted and stored safely during moving / re-installation of the fence kit and surplus wire can stay on the reel while the fence is operating.

The fence line heights can be tweaked to suit different sizes of animal, so although we have given this kit the name "Badger Barrier", the kit will prove effective against many other creatures, be they pests, pets or livestock.
