Dovecotes

There are seven dovecotes in the Forsham range, from the grand Tenderden, housing up to 20-pairs of birds, to the wall-mounted Cranbrook for up to 3-pairs. All of the dovecotes are built to ensure that they meet the needs of their feathered residents and are aesthetically pleasing to you, our Customer. Forsham dovecotes have an excellent pedigree and an example of the Lamberhurst can be found in the grounds of Kew Gardens.

All Forsham dovecotes are made using treated “Joinery Grade Scandinavian Red Pine” that is a hard, dense wood with a tight grain that offers strength and durability in all seasons. All metal features and fixings are manufactured from zinc galvanised parts to ensure a long life in an outdoor environment. Forsham dovecotes are available in a natural brown finish or painted. We only use microporous Sadolin paints and apply 3 coats to produce a clean finish that will typically last 5-years with little attention. To add further environmental protection we use lead-cladding and finally fit a top finial to finish each cote. For more details, please see our Forsham Information section.
