Hotline HT Double Insulated Lead Out/Underground Copper Cable:
Hotlines HT Double insulated cable with a copper core is insulated to 18,000 Volts. It is more conductive than the Steel variety (HT/G) cable, but not as strong.
This Double insulated cable is ideal for use in spares and repairs and for lead out cables of a short length such as, when used with Battery Energisers to fence and/or earth spike. Never use ordinary house cable for electric fencing applications as it is only rated at 600 volts and may cause leakage to earth.
Although this copper cable is more conductive, for most electric fencing applications, we would recommend the alternative steel cable due to the additional strength.
