This set of four universal solar panel corner mounts can be used with virtually any aluminium framed solar panel.
Manufactured from polyurethane these hard wearing solar panel corner brackets, pictured here with the
40 watt Kyocera,
can be used with any sized aluminium framed solar panel to provide a secure fixing for vehicles, caravans, boats, outbuildings etc. The solar corner mounts will support the solar panel at the optimum height above the surface to enable aeration from underneath, ensuring the solar panel functions as efficiently as possible.
Depending on the size and weight of the solar module and particularly if fixing the panel to a vehicle, it may be worth considering the addition of a spoiler set for additional support of the long sides of the panel, but for many installations the corner brackets will prove sufficient.
Solar panels can be fixed to the corner mounts using a suitable adhesive such as Sikaflex-252 (see
Solar Panel Bonding Kit)
or, dependent on the frame and/or your skill will a drill, secured with fixing screws via the lateral mounting sections of the corner brackets. Sikaflex can also be used for fixing the complete assembly to the required surface although we would recommend you consider screwing the brackets to the surface so that you can easily remove the panel should you need to do so in the future. In this case sikaflex can be used as a sealant for the holes in the surface to avoid any penetration of moisture.
The corner mounts are ready to fix to panel and surface. If drilling, all fixing positions are marked on the brackets. The brackets are finished in black, but are suitable for painting any other colour to match the mounting surface. PLEASE CAREFULLY FOLLOW ALL MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS.
