The Mallard is a floating nesting box that is supplied complete as pictured and is easy to set up, maintain and clean. If using the Mallard nest box in an artificial pond, the Mallard has the added advantage of enabling you to set up without risk of puncturing the liner.
Mallard Duck Nesting Boxes have two separate nesting areas for the ducks with cleaning achieved simply by lifting the complete nesting house off the float (it will take 2 of you!).
Securing the Mallard Floating Nest Box can be done either by fixing a simple anchor to stop the nesting box from drifting to the bank, or by attaching two lines to opposite sides of the float and then anchoring these to opposite banks of your pond.
The later method certainly makes the floating nest box easier to get too, as you can simply haul it to the bank as required just by slackening the line on one side.
