The Lenham range of housing is designed to make keeping poultry as easy as possible and to make tasks, such as cleaning, more simple. All the Lenham range have removable nest boxes and side walls, removable perching, full length ridge ventilation, and carrying handles.
To keep cleaning as easy as possible, the external bank of nest boxes can be completely removed from the main house. The opposite wall can also be removed, thus allowing full access to the inside. To make roosting as comfortable as possible, the removable perching is arranged in two banks either side of the pophole entrance. This will encourage the early birds to occupy the highest roosts.
To prevent the birds from accessing the area underneath the perches and any accumulated droppings, the Lenhams are fitted with a central walled corridor between the perch banks. The central corridor is removable through the pophole door for quick, easy cleaning. As standard, the nesting area is fitted with night shutters to prevent the birds using nests as sleeping roosts and subsequently soiling the nest litter.
