There are seven dovecotes in the Forsham range, from the grand Tenderden, housing up to 20-pairs of birds, to the wall-mounted Cranbrook for up to 3-pairs. All of the dovecotes are built to ensure that they meet the needs of their feathered residents and are aesthetically pleasing to you, our Customer. Forsham dovecotes have an excellent pedigree and an example of the Lamberhurst can be found in the grounds of Kew Gardens.
All Forsham dovecotes are made using treated “Joinery Grade Scandinavian Red Pine” that is a hard, dense wood with a tight grain that offers strength and durability in all seasons. All metal features and fixings are manufactured from zinc galvanised parts to ensure a long life in an outdoor environment. Forsham dovecotes are available in a natural brown finish or painted. We only use microporous Sadolin paints and apply 3 coats to produce a clean finish that will typically last 5-years with little attention. To add further environmental protection we use lead-cladding and finally fit a top finial to finish each cote. For more details, please see our Forsham Information section.
Forsham dovecotes are delivered fully assembled, with only the post separate. Installation is simple and, to avoid the need to use concrete, all units are supplied with a unique set of cross-braces which act as a “root system”, securing the post quickly and easily in the ground. You can also opt to have a matching feeding table complete with terracotta feed-pots (4 for the Tenterden and 2 for all others) which is fitted below the dovecote. The feed table is installed after the dovecote has been erected, so you can buy and fit the table at a later date.
Due to the bespoke nature of Forsham products, delivery may take up to 28-days and Forsham dovecotes are one of the few products in the electricfence-online range that we take full payment at the time of order. If, within 14-days of delivery, you are not entirely satisfied with the quality of our materials or the standard of workmanship, we will arrange for a replacement or refund.
