Unlike most torches that we need in an emergency, this one will always have a charge when you need it. After the initial charge of 8 to 10 hours just keep your torch on the window sill or anywhere else in the sun. 4 hours in the sunshine will recharge the torch with enough power to run the flashlight for approximately 2 hours and the warning light for over 20 hours. The rechargeable Ni-Mh batteries may last up to 1000 recharges (cycles).
The solar torch is both a flashlight emitting a bright white light from one end and a warning light, with 3 flashing LED lights at the other end. Our solar torch is robust, very versatile. It will run using the included rechargeable batteries and can also use standard AA batteries if required. The package also includes two replacement bulbs, which are stored within the casing of the torch itself.
The waterproof solar torch can be used as a battery charger for 2 x AA batteries. Also, the solar torch is fully waterproof and can be used for diving. For the night time fisherman, it will float on the surface if dropped.
