ACCEPTED PAYMENT - Paying online is simple, we accept Mastercard, Visa and Switch debit cards. We authorise all credit card orders in 'real-time' and an e-mail will be sent to you confirming and detailing your order. We don’t actually debit your credit card until your goods have been despatched. If you place an offline order you will be contacted by one of our representatives to arrange payment - this will usually be by cheque or postal order.

PRIVACY POLICY - We only collect information when you order an item from the site, enter a competition or subscribe to our mailing list. In these cases you will be asked to complete some or all of your personal details, credit card details and delivery details. These details are passed to our accounts system via a secure server and not available to any other parties other than our Payment Solution Provider – ishop. ishop themselves will not use your details for any reason other than the processing of your order.

All information is collected lawfully and in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
Many areas where we collect information will have an opt out option, so you can ensure that you do not receive any further information from us. If there is no opt out option (for example on the secure order form), you can still safely assume you will not be added to our mailing list.

We only send e-mail and/or other post to customers who choose to receive them and we never pass your information on to any third parties.

SECURITY - The ishop system has a long and successful record of processing online credit card transactions safely and securely. We take security very seriously and our systems are monitored 24/7/365. We are an approved payment solution provider for Barclays Merchant Services, Nat West Streamline, HSBC and The Royal Bank of Scotland, and as such our security system has been vetted.

DELIVERY - If for any reason we cannot dispatch your order within 72 hours (excluding weekends), we will notify you by either telephone or email. You will be given the opportunity to cancel the out of stock items or will be given an expected date of delivery. Many of our orders may be despatched directly from the manufacturer/s.

INVOICING - Invoices will be sent via email as a PDF file. Printed copies are available on request.

STANDARD CONDITIONS OF SALE - Electricfence-online warrant that the good which they supply correspond with their specification current at the time of despatch and are supplied free from defects in material and/or workmanship. Energisers only are warranted to remain free from such defects for a period of twenty-four months from the date of the relevant invoice.

Except where otherwise prohibited by law, the maximum liability of electricfence-online - In any circumstances is to refund the invoice price or replace the goods as its option.

The risk of damage to or loss of the goods passes to the buyer at the time of despatch and the buyer must insure the goods.

All contracts are governed by the laws of England and any disputes will be dealt with in English courts.

RETURNS/CANCELLATIONS - Please ensure any items you order are the items you actually require in order to avoid unnecessary complications and expenses.

Returning Defective Items - If you have received a defective item, please contact us to let us know that you are returning the item. You must return the product within 7 days of receiving the item. You should include paperwork with your original order number stated.

When the item arrives with us we will refund to your card for the item and delivery charges and the cost of returning the item to us (up to an equivalent of the original carriage costs). You must include a receipt for the return postage.

Alternatively, you can choose to have a replacement item (if available).
We will review the condition of the goods before issuing a refund or replacement and contact you if the claim is in doubt.

Cancelling Your Order - Items not required or Suitable - You can cancel your order before it has been dispatched and receive a full refund if your card has been debited.

Cancelling within 5 days of receiving the item/s - you should first call or e-mail us within 5 days of receiving the item to inform us that you're returning the goods. You must then return the product within 5 days of your reporting the intention to return to us. You should include paperwork with your original order number stated. Assuming the item is suitable for resale, we will refund your card less the original carriage charge.

Cancelling over 5 days of receiving the item/s - you should first call or e-mail us to inform us that you're returning the goods. You must then return the product within 5 days of your reporting the intention to return to us. You should include paperwork with your original order number stated. Please Note. Because our orders are often supplied direct by the manufacturer, an administration fee of 30% of the order value is charged by them for returns over 5 days from delivery. 20% of this charge will be passed on to the customer, to cover bank and credit card company charges and other handling expenses.

Once we have received the item, we will refund your card the item costs, but NOT the delivery charge, cost of returning the item to us or the 20% administration charge (if applicable). Alternatively, you can choose to have a replacement item (if available). The goods must be un-used, in the original product packaging and suitable for re-sale. We will review the condition of the goods before issuing a refund or replacement and will contact you if the claim is in doubt.

Late Delivery - If the product arrives later than an advised delivery date, you can choose to refuse the delivery from our couriers. The item is re-routed back to us via the same courier service and we will treat the item as not required or suitable and refund your item and original delivery charges, but will deduct from the refund, the cost of having the delivery re-routed back to us.

Incorrect or Damaged Items - If we fail to deliver the correct goods or they arrive damaged, please notify us as soon as possible after delivery and we will arrange for replacement goods to be dispatched immediately. We may at our discretion collect the faulty or wrongly delivered goods at no expense to you, if you are requested to return them your postage will be refunded.

DELIVERY CHARGES - Our delivery charges vary from product to product as they vary substantially in size & weight and may sometimes be supplied direct from a number of different manufacturers.

You can always find the delivery charge for the items you intend to order within the shopping basket (accessed by clicking the CHECKOUT button) before you finalise the order and process payment.
