A Cut-Out Switch is essential for use on long electric fences where it might be necessary to cut off the power at certain points for maintenance work.
The Cut-Out Switch is attached to a wooden post and the fence line fed into the switch to the centre contact. The feed out is through one or both of the other contacts.
The handle of the switch is then positioned to switch the power on or off.
